New Super Luigi U

New Super Luigi Bros U
New Super Luigi U styled as New Super Luigi
Bros U. This is because this is a part of the Year of Luigi.

Luigi
In New Super Luigi U, Nabbit is a new playable character who replaces Mario from the
original game. There is no Mario in sight! But Mario's Cap is seen in the opening screen.

Even More on the Koopalings

In New Super Mario Bros. Wii the Koopalings act similarly to the way they do in Super Mario Bros. 3.
The Koopalings are also Tower Bosses in Tower Boss Battles.

One of my pretend Mario games is called New Super Paper Mario. The Koopalings appear in this game as Mini-Bosses. Here is a picture of how they look in New Super Paper Mario.

More on the Koopalings

The 7 original Koopalings are new Bosses of Super Mario Bros 3.

My drawing of the concept art of the Koopalings in Super Mario World

The Koopalings first appeared in Super Mario Bros 3, which was released in Japan in 1988, so the Koopalings are 25 years old.

They also appeared in the SNES game Super Mario World (1990)

Some characters which made their debut in Super Mario World are:

This is a Monty Mole in most Mario games
My concept art of Kamek, a Magikoopa in Paper Mario Sticker Star (2012).
In Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga (2003), the Koopalings are mini bosses in Bowser's Castle, and Mario and Luigi need to defeat them to allow the Mario Bros. to battle Fawful, an evil sorcerer.

The Koopalings return in New Super Mario Bros. Wii (2009).
